Every project starts the same way for me — not with a mood board, but with a conversation. Here’s what I actually want to know before we plan a single detail.
What’s the Real Vision?
Not just the aesthetic — the feeling you want people to walk away with. A wedding, a gala, and a product launch can share a color palette and still need completely different production plans if the feeling behind them is different.
What’s the Real Budget?
Not the number you think sounds reasonable to say out loud — the actual number. I can’t build an honest plan around a budget that isn’t real, and the earlier we align on this, the fewer surprises later.
Who’s Actually in the Room?
Guest count, but also who they are — families with kids, out-of-town guests, clinicians attending after a shift, VIPs who need a specific experience. The audience shapes the production as much as the event type does.
What Can’t Go Wrong?
Every client has a short list of non-negotiables — a moment that has to land, a person who has to be comfortable, a detail that matters more than anything else on the day. I want to know that list before we build anything else.
What Does Success Actually Look Like?
Sometimes it’s a fully booked dance floor. Sometimes it’s a flawless technical program. Sometimes it’s simply that you, the client, got to actually enjoy your own event instead of managing it. Knowing which one we’re aiming for changes everything downstream.
