A product launch has different needs than a wedding or a gala, and the venue that photographs beautifully isn’t always the one that’s actually right for the job. Here’s what I look at first.
Brand Fit
Does the space reinforce what you’re launching, or fight against it? A sleek tech product needs a different backdrop than a heritage brand relaunch. The venue is part of the story before a single word is spoken.
Load-In Access
Product launches often mean staging, screens, lighting rigs, and sometimes the product itself needs a dramatic reveal. I check loading dock access, freight elevators, ceiling height, and power capacity before anything else — the prettiest room in the world doesn’t matter if you can’t get your setup in the door.
Sightlines
Every guest needs a clear view of the reveal moment. That shapes everything from stage placement to where the bar gets set up, so the crowd doesn’t cluster in the wrong spot at the wrong time.
Flexibility for the Unexpected
Launches often shift right up until the week of — a feature gets added, a demo changes, media attendance grows. I look for venues with enough flexibility in layout to absorb those last-minute changes without a full redesign.
